Swords in motion

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| I practise Ten Shin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu, a traditional Japanese martial art. I shot this image of a "brother in arms" at practise. I experimented with fairly slow shutter speeds and flash syncronized with the rear shutter curtain. |

WE could further improved the clarity of this image, by using a monopod or holding the camera much in stable form, or pressing the shutter release button in a more relax manner, also holding your breath for a few seconds, because we are dealing here with a slow shutter speed. In order for you to perfect this (which I humbly say have perfected it), practice it more often, just be patient.
The movement of the hands or any part of the body is alright because you have suggested a sense of movement, but capturing the head in perfect focus/freezed means you have already perfected this technique.
I am giving my humble observation/opinion, cheers - JEFFREY

Nice try with the slow shutter speed. Lots of action movement on the sward and hands. I assume there was some movement on his feet as well. Unfortunately with slow shutter speed you need a very steady hand and if you are like me, a tripod. This will keep the rest of the picture in focus and the only mevement will be 'actual' movement.
