[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Because of my lack of knowledge of the english language I don't know exactly how to explain this, this picture is taken a second before I had to safe myself and my camera jump in a ditch or I would have fallen on my behind because of the force of that hoovering helicopter. Hope you get the picture.
And yes I have made pictures in which there is an entire helicopter to be seen, but this being the decisive moment I uploaded this one.
In the TrollFjord there is contruction work going on. The fjord has sheer cliffs rising up high from the fjord - so transportation by boat is not possible. There aren't any roads leading to the fjord - so the only way to get supplies over there is shuttle-service with a helicopter.
I (of course) had to speak with these men and they had a good laugh when I asked them about the danger of venturing in the thick layer of clouds covering the Fjord - they were much too experienced - well it seemed quite dangerous to me.

Als er geen wegen leiden naar een fjord en de wanden zijn te steil om goederen per boot aan te voeren, dan is een service met een helicopter de enige manier om voorraden en bouwmateriaal aan te voeren.
De piloot ging met volle vaart een dik wolkendek in en scheen daar geen last van te hebben. Toen ik er naar vroeg moesten ze lachen - veel ervaring was de sleutel. Ze "belader" en de helicopter piloot stonden konstant met elkaar in kontakt.
Dit is het moment dat ik in een droge greppel sprong of ik was op mijn achterwerk gevallen - de neerwaartse kracht van de wieken was veel groter dan ik dacht en er dwarrelde ook van alles in het rond.
Hartstikke leuk - dat wel.

Critiques [Translate]

Nice and colourful chopper. You almost froze the action of the rotors. Good light and sharpness. I love to see choppers so this image is very refreshing to my eyes. I like the way you capture this machine from just under it. Well composed image and very attractive. Thanks Els :-)

I notice the focal length is only 70 mm so you are pretty close here...

first of all, the combination of red and blue is always great! Secondly I like the tight crop on this composition! You cut off some parts, but still enough there to know what you are showing us. Not showing the cargo makes it more interesting, since there is still a little bit to guess. I like it this way!
Only little thing - maar dat is echt mugge(n)ziften - is the title font at the downside of your picture. In size and type it doesn't match any of the printing on the helicopter. Would have been nice if that matched. Mugge(n)ziften hee... ;-)

Beautiful shot of Action, taste of the colors and movements of the helix, I already made here several tests in the fans of house to see the result.

Sounds wellknown to me. Hanging on the cable of a chopper and dropped in the middle of the sea (between Stavanger-Bergen- Shetlands) onto the Helideck of the 'Single point mooring' (SPM) with a diameter of about 10 meters. 2200 meters from our production platform the 'Beryl Alpha' (1977)
Ik moet toch nodig weer eens wat dia's scannen van dit 3.5 jaar durende karwei.
