And don't I know the comment I will get on this one - but today - as rainy as in this picture - I love this one. I can do another sky, I can even transplant clouds - but I just love this picture like it is.

Sørvågen will be a village you will pass when travelling on the Lofoten, but it is well worth a little detour. And if it is evening then you really have to stop here to have dinner in the best restaurant on the Lofoten called Maren Anna, after the boat of the owner of the building. The website of the charming couple that runs the restaurant (the wife is the chef) is www.lofoten-info.no/marenanna).

Never mind rainy days - there is beauty to be found regardless of the weather.

PS I got my camera back - after more then two months!! - I got a sneaky suspition that the visit my son payed to the manager of the shop had a bit of an impact....

I do like this image and I agree its best left with the sky as it is. I really like the way the sky and the water carry into the frame. its very effective like a painting.

So this is Sørvågen, a place I have heard of but never visited!
A nice place and as everywhere in the region, a variety of pleasure and utility boats...
Good colours and details, well framed!
I don't have to mention the sky since you do that yourself...

You are not going to get your "expected comment" from me. I, like you, like the way you have presented the sky. The framing on the top and bottom of the emage is perfect. White is the perfect color. This is the best image I have seen today!

Hallo Els.
Mooi kleurrijk plaatje met de lucht 'as is'.
Maare, te veel aangescherpt (maakt de boombladeren onnatuurlijk) en met te weinig KB's (96.6) geupload. (geeft 'muggen' (spikkels) in de lucht om de daken en uitstekende delen. Om de een of andere reden lijken de boten wel miniaturen enne, is dat een watermerk, onderaan, door Sorvagen ?
Tis dat het een plaatje van Noorwegen is....

Straalt rust uit, het kleine dorpje aan het water waar de mensen in het weekend een tochtje maken met hun boot. Knap weergegeven.

Ok, die lucht is " tamelijk " leeg
(moet overdag maar naar buiten zien en dan is jouw lucht nog hoopvol ... ), maar ik vind de rest van de kleuren mooi.
Een rustgevende plek, waar je gewoon kan zitten en wat mijmeren.
Wat ik zeker goed vind aan deze foto :
je hebt die witte lucht goed opgevangen, gewild of niet, door ook het water onderaan wit te laten beginnen én een witte omkadering gekozen.
