Lovely image my friend. Great place and shot.

To be honest with you my friend, I'm tempted to crop the sky a little, the left side and the bottom side to cut those trees and clone out the remaining tree leaves at the corner bottom right. But if you are please with your picture, I'm happy too :-)

Of course, those suberb Norwegian hills are attractive parts to erect churches.
This one stands with class, spot-lighted by a hole in clouds.
You had the good idea to include enough foreground to comp-lete the impression of depth.

A very good composition made this stand out.
The slope leads the eye nicely towards the focal point which has great stature, even rising above the trees!
The sky plays an important part in the overall effect.
Even with the difficulties you describe, you have produced a very pleasing shot!

Beautiful scene, with the lonely white church on the green hill, the undecided sky and the distant red barn on top of the hill. I do not why, but this scene reminds me the Peles Castle of Romania, a picturesque castle not far from my home city...
