Snowy Remains

Bitihorn's top just 16008 metres above sea level shows some icy remains of winter even in the hot July sun.
Combined with the crystal clear blue sky the contrast found here are striking.
Here's another icy shot and one from the top. |

Hi Jan...
What a great view!!! and it's hard to imagine that this mountain's top is only 1608 meters above sealevel eh??
Funny how time and time again I recognize pictures from Norway, even in the thumbnails...
I love this view, as I love Norway!
Great colors!
Cheers,
Anneke
The melting glacial snow really makes this photo interesting. It leads my eyes into the lake and then to the fantastic sky. Truly a fantastic photo. TFS
Hello Jan,
This is a fine composition with good details!
The image tells the story of the short but hectic summer in the Norwegian mountains, some of the snow will survive until next winter...
Excellent details and the composition has a strong diagonal and a fine sense of depth!
Greetings,
Pablo -
