As a person from the flatlands each mountian is impressive. But staying on a campsite with walls on both side of 1800 meters high tops all impressions. It is impossible for me to not look to the peaks the Trollveggen eventhough most of the time they were blocked by low hanging clouds.

This was probably one of the better days and the top of the Trollveggen was as good as clear.

I had to do a pretty heavy lens correction to this photo. The UWA lens and my angled POV caused the building and tree to lean back extreemly. This however caused the clouds to look a bit strange.

Hi Niek,
Wow- it has been a while. I'm glad you are back. This is a really nice posting. Fantastic cloud cover -- nice sharp details and crisp colors. Well done and TFS Julie

Bonjour Niek

Frieda.

Hi Niek,

What a beautiful scene. It looks so relaxing and calm with the low clouds, surrounded by mountains, in a cozy inn. The color of the inn adds bright color to the lovely shades of greens throughout the photo.

Very nice... Hope you had a nice time.

Anneke

Hi Niek,

Looks a lovely area, the photo has an unusual split the top half is almost mono and colour in the bottom, nice effect.

Douglas

Hello Niek,

I am also stunned every time I see such beauty. Very nice contrasts between sky and landscape. Good sharpness!

Greetings,

Natalia

Hi Niek,
At the first sight, I believed that you made a partial desaturation on the mountains! But there are real gray tones! What a beautiful contrast with the red house, and greeneries. Nice to see the grasses growing on the roof! The distortion on the clouds adds surreal mood at this beautiful view totally in harmony with the greatness of this place!
My compliments! Annie

Hello Niek !

Cloudy days are extremely interesting for sucessful photo shoots. This view is a perfect example. You did pretty well in correcting the perspective here. Spectacular contrasts between the colorful ground level and mountains/sky.

Great work!
Bravo!
Robert

Beautiful scenery shot Niek, red building and the people at the park provide a sense of scale.. green roof also looks very attractive, well seen.

Hoi Niek,

Groeten,

Edwin

Really nice Niek. The lens correction seems fine to me, the clouds look normal!!
Good lens!!
David

Okay, let's talk critiquing - Niek, sometimes there just is nothing to add, I also love the mountains and even more so when they are shrouded in clouds like here - can not compare with the original, but to me the clouds look just fine. Also that typical Norwegian roofing with wild grasses and meadow flowers on top of those deep red wooden walls - and the light - it's
all so Norwegian - I see you needed 1/20 to let in enough of the light.
Well, no wise words, I just enjoy so thanks
Els

Very striking mountain camping picture. The clouds like just fine to me. Good crispness throughout. Nice colours going from colourful to B&W at the top. TFS. Karin

Hi Niek, lovely scenery here. Those mountains look spectacular. I think the composition is OK but there is a little too much blank space in the foreground. As you have camper vans in the shot it might have been good to have one parked near the lodge or else crop a little off the bottom. I also think the image is a little dark. I've done a workshop to show you. I hope you like it and I hope you don't mind.

Nice shot, hope you enjoyed Norway :-)

Hallo Niek
Mooie weergave in mooie Noorse kleuren.

Excellent capture of the moody weather.

What an amazing effect Niek, witht he deaturated peaks behind this colorful scene.
The parting of these clouds has revealed a very surreal backdrop.
Beautifully composed.

hello Niek

A superb view of rising mountains and misty clouds! Unbelievable to see a campus located with such scenery. I wonder - will the students get high scores due to such wonderful environment? I know I would, hehe! (or vice-versa?)

Despite your UWA and optical distortion, the capture gives very pleasant image of the campus's beauty. tfs

Hello Niek,

I like this photograph very much with its tall peaks and its cloudy dressing! It reminded me of the Trollenberg Terror which used to roll down the hill and envelope people in a fictional story many years ago!

The red building in the f/g and the person with red clothes, add just enough colour to lived up the shot.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

hi Niek
impressive, superc, no words
great one
my best to you
