This is very nice Niek - good pp work with the RAW exposure conversion and combining the results - it's worked very well..
The rushing water has just the right amount of blur to it..

Hello Niek.
I love the colour of the river and the silky effect from 1/3 exposure time. Sharpness is great and tones are natural.
One thing is distracting me a bit. IMO the rock in the b/g should be shown in a whole or the picture should be cropped just over the trees line. Now, seeing only a bottom of it, I wonder how high it is. It takes my attention out of the f/g. But that's probably very personal feeling.

If you shot this a little under expossure, it would be even nicer. because of the harsh white on the water :)

Hoi Niek,
Ja helemaal goed, die lange sluitertijd máákt deze plaat. Lekker met je tripod en je poten in hhet koude ater? Of stond je op een rots? In ieder geval vind ik het een pracht opname, weer een idee erbij! Bedankt.

:-) hier lenen de Noorse rivieren zich schitterend voor! Dit soort plaatjes!
Het water stroomt doorgaans lekker hard, dus zonder al te veel poeha is zo'n plaat makkelijk te maken, vooral met een grijsfilter... 'k vraag me alleen af, of je dan ook die mooie blauwe kleur van dat water krijgt... Ik ga het volgend jaar maar eens uitproberen denk ik.
We zijn er zo goed als zekervan, dat we volgende zomer lekker 3 weken naar het noorden gaan.
De bedoeling is wel, dat ik eerst de vierdaagse loop............ ;-)

Heerlijk herkenbare foto Niek. Mooie diepe kleuren en de beweging in het water vind ik persoonlijk geweldig!

Hi Niek,

In tegenstelling tot mijn warhoofdige uitspraken heb ik echt wel een idee wat je met sluitertijd en diafragma kan doen - dus het eerste wat ik deed was kijken hoe je dit effect hebt gekregen met het ongetwijfeld snelstromende water. Het ziet er fantastisch uit.
Mooie bergwand met dat erosiemateriaal onderaan, van mij mocht deze foto wel 4x zo groot zijn, wolken, bergwand, snelstromende rivier - heerlijk!

What a stunning capture of the tremendous power of this wild water seen rushing out of its mountain source.

Prachtige foto genomen met de juiste shutterspeed en door de F20 een prima scherpte diepte.
Een plaatje, waardoor ik weer fijne herinneringen aan Noorwegen krijg.
