[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo from our campground standing only a few meters away from my tent. We chose this campground to be close to Bergen. This particular morning we got up early to catch the first bus to Bergen to avoid the crowed and high temperatures.

The sun was just getting above the higher mountains in the east. But wasn't powerful enough yet to heighten the temperature, hence the mist on the water.

Soon this view would change. The mist and the flat surface of the water would disapear. Both caused directly and indirectly by the sun. The latter has to do with the first swimmers of that day.

Hello Niek.
This is truly amazing view. I especially like the bottom and left part of this photo, really eye-catching reflections. The mist on the water together with light above the mountain give us idea about the weather conditions.

Bonjour Niek,
Ca donne envie de se poser là et de rester observer la montée du soleil.
Magnifique ambiance avec cette brume.
Juste dommage la présence des voitures, cela vient perturber l'harmonie créée.
Bonne journée

Karèle

Hi Niek,
it's a wonderful moment you captured here.
I like the silence, it seems everything is still sleeping while the sun is coming closer.
Beautiful shot, thanks and greetings

This is a really great shot Niek! LOTS of details, and absolutely no compression problems that I can see. I love how the light just touches the tops of the hills here! Excellent exposure and even though we cannot see a horizon line, I can "feel" it's straight! The water is a good measure for that! Nice work!

I like the misty mood here very much. The reflection is faint and it makes the pic. Catching the layers of hills adds depth. TFs. Karin

Hi Niek

The thumbnail doesn't do this one justice. It has a subtle beauty that I suspect reveals more as the photo is shown larger. I love the mist and the early morning light highlighting the trees. Beautifully composed.

Hello Niek,

I was just responding to your having left a comment on my house photo when I saw this incredible image. It's so rich in so many ways, the mist, the subdued light, the painting-like quality . . . it's sort of magical.

I also like how you describe your passion for this craft. I'm not nearly as committed, but it's great to hear and see it expressed by you in words and photos. I do, however, love to carry my camera with me and miss my previous tiny one which I lost because you never know what you're going to see out in the world.

Keep shootin'

Richard
