[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Yesterday I posted a photo of the morning light on the lake. Today a photo I took more then 13 hours later. Again the same lake but a different POV.

What amazes me about the view is that we got a colored sky very early. Normally it would take at least an hour to get some colors in the sky but that night nature gave us an early show. It was also very local. Just to the left the sky was still blue.

as for the DOF, I know it isn't perfect. I wandered away from my tent without my tripod and already jacked up the ISO. But still the shutter speed was too slow to get a small enough aperture. Just look a little bit further into the composition and forget about the FG.

Hi Niek,
Awsome sunset composition from Norway, the landscape around is fantastic. The reflection of red tones on the surface of the water makes it a calm and peaceful image, I can hear the silence there watching your photo. The vertical composition was a good choise and you positioned the horizon just well. Thanks for your intereting note about your experience and technique. Great presentation, my friend! TFS.
Friendly greetings,
Kristof

Greetings Niek,I actually like the foreground so I guess that's the end of my critique:) I like your capture of the pink formation of clouds but more so their reflection in the lake.I like the mood of this image.

You know I remember critiquing this pic and I come back and it's not there! Well...I did a WS because I felt the sky was a bit over powerful here. For me the goal is the take the eye and lead it from left to right, or front to back...but the sky just fixates your eye there, so I did a WS to see if I could show what I meant. B-)

Beautiful sky!!

Excellent POV and composition here Niek.
I love the way the ripples and texture of the water looks here.
Linda's WS is very good too.
Nicely done.

Hi Niek,
I do like the soft pink/orange colour in the sky and if you did,'t wrote it in your note about the DOF I wouldn't have observed it. The image breaths a fine tranquile mood. Well captured despite missing the tripod :-)
