OSTEOSPERMUM
=============

One call osteospermum garden gerbera, different daisy from Africa.
Latin name osteospermum descends from Greek word osteon - bone as well as Latin spermum - seed and it treats to hard seeds.
It was one should to family plant this astrowatych (Asteraceae). It comes from from South Africa where it steps out on mountain terrains. It it was found was about 70 species there: one-year, perennials and low shrubs
Though daisies remind with building, they are from them considerably larger: their diameter carries out 6-8 cm, and at some changes even 10 cm.
Very different colours beyond this have. It among narrow leaves was can notice numerous doughnuts, the announcing debts period of the blooming which lasts until to jesien

OSTEOSPERMUM

Jedni nazywaja osteospermum ogrodowa gerbera, inni stokrotka z Afryki, a odmiane zolta - dzieckiem slonca!

Lacinska nazwa wywodzi sie od greckiego słowa osteon - kosc oraz lacinskiego spermum - nasienie i odnosi sie do twardych nasion.

Roslina ta nalezy do rodziny astrowatych (Asteraceae) i pochodzi z Afryki Poludniowej, gdzie wystepuje na terenach gorskich.
Odnaleziono tam około 70 gatunkow: jednorocznych, bylin i niskich krzewow
Choc budowa przypominaja stokrotki, to sa od nich znacznie wieksze: ich srednica wynosi 6-8 cm, a u niektorych odmian nawet 10 cm.
Poza tym maja bardzo rozne barwy. Posrod waskich lisci mozna zauwazyc liczne paczki, zapowiadajace dlugi okres kwitnienia, ktory trwa az do jesieni.
Kiedy kwiaty zamieraja, warto je wycinac, bo dzieki temu roslina zawiazuje nowe paczki, obficiej kwitnie i bardziej sie rozkrzewia.

Kwiaty w cieplych, slonecznych kolorach:
- biale (odmiana 'Milk'),
- kremowe ('Cream'),
- zolte ('Lemon'),
- brzoskwiniowe ('Peach'),
- pomaranczowe ('Orange').

Odmiany:
Jamboana - kwiaty biale (odmiana 'Osantis') oraz
w różnych odcieniach fioletu ('Osjatis', 'Osoutis').
Springstar - kwiaty białe (odmiana 'Arctur') i w rozmaitych odcieniach różu ('Castor', 'Gemma', 'cirius').
Wymienione odmiany sa wczesne, zaczynaja sie rozwijac wiosna i kwitna bardzo obficie przez cale lato.

Dorastaja do wysokosci 20-30 cm, maja wzniesione pedy i zwarty pokroj.
Rosliny silnie sie krzewia, osiagaja szerokość 40-50 cm
Poza tym te sezonowe kwiaty znakomicie sprawdzaja sie na rabatach, gdzie tworza barwne, geste kobierce.

W moim ogrodzie rosnie odmiana w kolorze zoltym i rozowo-fioletowym.
