[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
City of Chełmno, Toruńska street. Chełmno was the ancient capital of the historic Chelmno Land, the area marked by the Vistula, the Drwęca, and the Osa rivers. The town, which was first mentioned in written sources in 1065, is seated on nine hills on the Chelmno Upland. The name derived from the Latin word “culmen”, which means “hill”. The Foundation Document, the so-called Privilege of Chełmno was bestowed on the town by the Teutonic Order on 28th December 1233, and was used for founding over 200 Polish cities.
