[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The former boarding house of the Academic Gymnasium (dawna ekonomia gimnazjum akademickiego) in the city of Toruń, Piekary street. The Renaissance building, dating from 1598-1601, served as a boarding house for the poorest pupils and for those from outside the town attending the Protestant grammar school, founded in Torun in 1568. After the distrurbances of 1724 (known as the “Torun tumult”) the existing school buildings were taken from the Protestants. The grammar school was moved to the boarding house and continued to function there until 1855. In 1856 the building was turned into a hospital for the French army. The original Renaissance ceiling inside has survived.

Piekne stare budownictwo uzytkowe. Wspaniale okna. Piekne zdjecie. Bardzo ciekawe rzeczy dzieja sie w oknie prawy, intrygujacy ten przeswit na druga strone budynku.

Witaj Miko! Bardzo ciekawy, stary, zabytkowy mur i okna, a w nich odbija sie inny mur z czerwonej cegly. Pieknie komponuje sie ta lampka z lewej strony...stanowi takie wykonczenie. Calosc bardzo ciekawa i ladna...jak zawsze. Serdecznie pozdrawiam. Barbara

dear Mikolaj Cava,
this surfacial touch of old bricks are excellent, it is my favorite.
and the shape of windows and the lamp on the wall are very interesting and tasteful, those fit the old color of these bricks.
the reflected opposite brick wall and the inner garden through the window make nice feeling of the space.
