[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Renaissance town hall in the city of Chełmno. Oldest part comes from the end of the XIII century, rebuilt in manneristic style (under Italian influence) in 1567-1572 and 1584-1596. Chełmno was the ancient capital of the historic Chelmno Land, the area marked by the Vistula, the Drwęca, and the Osa rivers. The town, which was first mentioned in written sources in 1065, is seated on nine hills on the Chelmno Upland. The name derived from the Latin word “culmen”, which means “hill”.
