I've wanted to play with my post-processing skills. I've used shot of my girlfriend's ear ;) Full b&w or full color wasn't enough good for me, so I've done a 'Gold snail'.

PP:
1. Auto-contrasted and slightly brightened.
2. Two layer - one of the ear and one of the ear-ring.
3. I've desaturated ear.
4. Implemented artistic filter on the ear-ring layer /I don't remember it's name, sorry:(/, because I wanted to have effect of gold ear-ring (originally it was too dark for me).
5. Framed

And that's the final effect. I hope you'll like it :-)

It has got one (very small)problem. The hair in the right down.
The other things are good.
-The composition is perfect.
-The DOF is -"-
-The "gold and B&W" effect is a very good vote.
-The frame is good too

Brilliant! Great POV and DOF, great PP (especially conversion to B&W).
