Click the image for bigger version. The cloud on the image is called "shelf cloud" and it's associated with thunderstorm and heavy rainfall (which you can see in the background). The whole phenomenon is called "gust front" or "outflow boundary". Hope you like it :)

AWESOME!! I also got a shot of an outflow boundary that made our local news! The SUPER wide angle here is just amazing. Marvelous details, love the long crop here!

Hi Piotr,

Outstanding work, it almost resembles a mushroom cloud. The panoramic shot captures it in its entirety, which I find awesome as well. TFS

Fascinating image ... well seen and well captured. I love the way you have used the road and car park to mirror the cloud, and left enough space at the right to balance it all. Excellent image that deserves a big smiley.

Piotr,
Love this shelf cloud! Growing up in the Midwest (in the USA), I have seen these many times! I never get tired of them! I think the large post fits this subject as good as any. If I were to change anything, I'd probably concentrate on making the road come into the photo a bit different, perhaps to seem as though it is coming right into the user. I call it supportive composition. When I know I have a "slam dunk" shot with your subject, I try to concentrate on the other aspects of the composition. It's sometimes hard to think about but that's one detail that separates the amateurs from the pros!
Well done with this image, it's very interesting!

Scott
