I love the idea of this Anna. Your composition is wonderful. I think it really gets the idea across. Two comments though: the focus of tree is slightly soft yet the edge of your mask (where the trunk meets the sky) is hard. Try feathering the tree before you paste it on a background such as the sky. It will soften the edge.
