Cornflower (lat. Centaurea cyanus, pol. Chaber bławatek) is a small flowering plant, native to Europe. It is a common weed of crop fields. At the photo is probably 'Blue Boy' variant of Cornflower.

I love cornflowers and your post is very nice.
IMO the leaves are a little overexposed but I love the drops around and the presentation.

Good choice to have the picture against the dark background - it really makes the colours stand out. The details in the petals do seem to have been burned out, possibly as a result of being too close to the flower and the flash reflecting badly from the water droplets.

The dark background enhances the subject so well!
I notice the fine light that really brings out the
finer details in the delicate flowers...
