Capela de S.Bartolomeu
A romaria de S. Bartolomeu é uma das mais concorridas da região e serviu de inspiração a Camilo Castelo Branco para o seu conto “Como ela o amava”. De um lado da ponte fica a capelinha de S. Bartolomeu, onde os crentes ocorriam a pedir os seus milagres, do outro lado ficam as águas sulfurosas. A igreja matriz desta freguesia de raiz românica foi totalmente modificada, apenas subsistindo do primitivo estilo parte da arquitrave do coro. Camilo Castelo Branco visitou esta igreja em 1842. A ela se refere num dos seus romances. |
