We could see this tree from afar, standing tall next to the ruins of the old arab castle on the hill, as we drove towards Mogadouro.
The silence and the heath on midday, the ruins and this marvelous tree give this place a unreal, almost enchanted, atmosphere.

This is definitely a better shot - the size is better. Thanks for the note.

The gradient through the sky is good, placement of the tree is very central so you could afford to consider Rule of Thirds in your composition, although the balance in this shot, to me, works quite well.
