THE LITTLE FETE
I take a bottle of wine and I go drink it among the flowers.
We are allways three ... counting my shadow and my friend the shimmering moon
Happily the moon knows nothing of drinking, and my shadow is never thirsty
When I sing, the moon listens to me in silence. When I dance, my shadow dances too.
After all festivities the guests must depart. This sadness I do not know.
When I go home, the moon goes with me and my shadow follows me

This is one of my favourite songs, from one of my favourite albums, by one of my favourite authors. I just had to dedicate a photograph to it, and this one seemed perfect.
This was a sort of taoist moment. I stood there for a while, reflecting on how images are truly part of our life, and about how wonderfull the world can be before our eyes.
One nice thing about that vilage that you can see on the far shore of the river is that its lights, when seen from a higher vantage point, take the shape of a running horse. You can almost distinguish it's legs and tail on the left, and the head on the far right.
This is the river Varosa, an efluent of the Douro, that is shown on my last post.
I hope I managed to convey the quietness of this place. |

Love this one Emanule. The blue colour, the light from the moon and the city. Very moody. It must be wonderfull to sit there. Peacfull and quit.

Wow, the moon has a glow around it. Very nice picture. I like the city lights and the reflection in the water.
