[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
When we got home at night the moon was nice and bright, so I went up to the roof terrace and got this shot.

Some tips for moon shots:

First of all the moon is very small so you need a long lens.
A fast shutter speed is required because the moon is moving.
Tripod might be needed if you want to shoot at low ISO with no image stabilizor.

Mooi van " compositie ", scherpte én belichting !
Niet zo'n platgeslagen " Janneke-maan " ;-)

Ik zal nog heel wat mogen sparen voor ik ze ook zo groot kan fotograferen ...

Groetjes
Jan

You forgot to mention that this first quarter or the last quarter are the best periods to shoot the moon, Pedro. Full moon works like a mirror for the sun...
Nice detail, I guess I'll have to get a convertor for my 200mm lens ;o).

Excellent image Pedro, one I can only dream about (or look at those of others). Well composed and good detail. TFS,
David

Hi Pedro. Nice shot of the moon. I also have a tip; use the 3200 ISO setting as there's so little noise. Seriously, you will be amazed if you haven't already used that setting. Best wishes, Paul.

Nice definition and helpful tips.
What is "pattern" mode for your metering mode.
Thanks. Karin

Awesome shot! Love the clarity, your POV, and the colors also.
Nice shot.
