A wonderful sunset in Porto Côvo.

The Village of Porto Covo

The fishermen’s village of Porto Covo rouses strong emotions (there is a famous Portuguese popular song about it). With its whitewashed houses, Porto Covo is a living example of the union between Alentejo’s traditional architecture and the “Pombalino” style (XVIIIth century). The vast maritime landscapes, visible almost from every place in the village, add to the scene a unique charm. Arriving place to enjoy seaside pleasures, Porto Covo can also be a departing point to visits inland.

Impressive sunset shot! Colors are quite different from the usual golden-orange hues. The colors of fire create a real special mood. Well done!
