this is a nice photo!
i like this becaus of the perfect mirror and perfect bleu sky.
i think you wanted to change it too much, if you watch the clouds.
TFS ingrid
Clouds and their mirror effect are always tempting for a photographer, Luis.
Said this, I think your photo doesn't work for several reasons:
- you pushed the contrasts too far, causing a loss of nuance in the dark and in the white tones (see the clouds). When enhancing the contrasts, try to do it smoothly and check regularly if you still see nuance. You could also limit yourself to enhance the dark tones only;
- your horizon looks tilted to the left, which can be easily corrected;
- your composition contains many "dead" elements, I mean elements that do not really add something to your photo, such as the entire area in the bottom left (railing?). The straight lines over there even detract from the rest of your photo. I would have tried to avoid them by changing POV;
- general focus seems rather soft, without that being justified by the mood of the photo. Did you sharpen your picture after downsizing it for TrekLens?
Sorry for not being positive, but I hope you can appreciate my suggestions. And of course, this is only my personal opinion. Feel free to (dis)agree ;o)
TFS & kind regards,
Erik
