Hi!
This is my windows for the Scav Hunt.
This photo was taken in the Convent of Christ in Tomar. This little window belong to a very tiny cell where the knights and monks used to sleep. If we look through the window we can see another one: the "Chapter Window" - The most famous portuguese window.

The Convent of Christ (UNESCO World Heritage since 1983) is the leading emblem of the Tomar city. It was the headquarters of the portuguese branch of the Templar Order. When this was suppresed, the king D. Dinis replace it by the Order of Christ.
In the Convent you can find the architectural styles from the XIIth to the XVIIIth centuries. All its unique decorative exuberance belong to the Manuelino style.

Kisses
Aida

OLA AIDA.

E curioso que eu também tenho um registo semelhante ao teu.
Suponho que a luminosidade tambem captou a tua atenção.
O resultado final esta interesante.

Luci

This is simply beautiful Aida. The low light worked well. I also like the notes for the information on the subject. TFS.

Nice compo Aida, with this medieval see-through window, complete with the "seat" where one could profit to the full of the sparse light for reading. I've seen similar seats in a mediaval hotel in Ghent (Belgium).
I love the warm tone and the limited palet.
TFS

Terrific contrast and color to define this window and the recess it sits in. I also like how the frame extends the image even further, repeating the effects. Nice!

Hello Aida,
this one looks interesting. A nice graphic quality with tendencies towards a good abstract.
I like the dramatic sharp contrasts

Good effort.
Best regards, Daniel

Hi Aida, this is good work , i love the play with shadows here and the gold colour on the stones are very rich looking indeed, well done TFS.

This is really good... the light is superb and exposure is perfect. Thankyou!

Ola Aida,
And the windows are YOURS again!

Very interesting pespective to see a window thru a window.
Glad we sorted the "rip-off" problem.

Thanx for presenting this one! J.

Hi Aida!
The most coveted window! :)
I like the subdued lighting. Your framing is just perfect. TFSTP
