This photo was taken in Tomar in the beutifull Convento de Cristo (in english "Christ Convent".
This is room that had only this big and beautifull window so I managed to get this big contrast between light and darkness.

hey mario!
i like this shot, although i prefer closeups, sometimes taking a shot from far away, creates a different type of effect, and i think i see what effect you were trying to get at.

the windows are great in this case and create a balance of the dark and light. the way the girl is sitting, the fact that she can't reach the floor and her facial expression, creates a mood.

good capture, and a great candid shot!
