This photo was taken at Banática, at Costa da Caparica, Municipality of Almada, district of Setúbal, Portugal.

It is the first port in the Tagus River at the district of Setúbal. According to the experts the port's name comes from the arabic "ben ataija", which means Prince's Place.

In this port there is a deposit for petrol products.

The ship in the photo is Ennerdale, a LPG Tanker with 99m x 18m x 5,6m, built in March 1997 and registered in Hong Kong.

I took the photo when the ship was ready to be visited, and noticed I wasn't the only one waiting...

There were several seagulls getting ready for a visit!

As you can notice, the bridge over the tagus is almost invisible... the day was extremely foggy!!

Exposure Time: 10/2500 sec

Hello Joao
it's a very good capture of the everyday life of a harbour, the colors are superb, and touches it which makes the difference it's this alignment of gulls and all worms the same direction.

Olá João,

Belíssimo visual, luz maravilhosa, todos os detalhes muito bem composto nesta foto , desde a ponte na neblina como a fileira de gaivotas na corda de amarra dos navio a frente.
Belo visual, cores e afiado muito bom.
Parabens

Sergio
:)

Joao,
I really like the lines here. The way the anchor ropes pull my eye to the ship is very well composed. The gulls are a very nice feature to this photo because it stops my eye along the way to the ship.
Very good work,
Scott
