[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the view (when we could see it) from our hotel in Serra de Agua, Madeira. Mostly the valley was obscured with clouds and mist. You will notice terrancing on the mountain side. This terracing is caused by episodic volcanic flows 20 Million years ago. This terracing is not human made.

This panoramic view is from 4 shots stitched together.
I find it difficult to stitch together shots where the sky and foreground vary from dark to bright. Any hints welcome.

Hi Karin,

This look "huge", I like the shape that the volcanic lava have form, it must be exciting to wake up to this. Excellent details and textures, good stitching work too, :D Well done, thanks for sharing

Sweety

Bonjour Karin,
Magnifique cette vue avec ces différences de luminosité. Le relief est très bien mis en valeur, et le résultat avec les nuages est sans appel... bravo !
Bonne journée

Karèle

Beautiful landscape Karin.... great PP work with the stiching.

Regards Mark :)

hi karin, great shot , i love the panoramic style, the composition and light are amazing , such incredible mountains with great layers and colors, well done, thanks scott

Hi Karin,
Maybe Ejtaan can tell you more about stitching - she has done it as well.
I really don't know how.
Maybe you used a bit much saturation on the green - in Photoshop you can use saturation on every colour separate and then you can also chooose the burn tool to darken the sky a tiny bit if you would like to do so.

Hi Karin
Excellent panorama showing the ruggedness and beauty
of the terrain. Excellent stitch and pp work. My suggestion for a
more even light is to take a light reading on the brightest area
and lock the reading in the camera and take your photos for the
panoramic stitch to make a more natural look and also make it
easier to stitch.

Beautiful emphasis on the texture of the mountains. Regarding the stitching, I use the hugin software.

Hi Karin

Beautiful visual, taste of the composition, a beautiful panoramic!
I like the landscape in the mountain for the low green that it arises until his summit.
Beautiful shot and great compo!
Very well done! Thanks.

very good work stitching this into a panoramic view. Hint probably the use of grad ND filter to overcome the different contrast of sky an the ground
