[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We had come back from our day's hike and were sitting on the hotel balcony overlooking a valley. We were at eye level with the top of the backlit chestnut tree.
That night I chose chestnut soup for my starter. It was delicious.

Fine back-lit shot, nice cropping too. Chestnut soup? That is new to me. Worth trying sometime.

Tibi

Bonjour Karin,
C'est étonnant la façon dont les châtaignes captent la lumière.
C'est du plus bel effet avec cet arrière plan sombre
Amicalement

Hi Karin,
Luminous and contrasted image! I like the horizontal composition and this superb capture in backlighting. Bravo! Annie

hi karin, this shot looks amazing, excellent light, shapes, and colors, well done, thanks scott

Hi Karin
Original photo of those top branches chestnuts, it's fun to see all the light captured by the hairy envelope of the fruit. That's a nice composition. Tell me, what are those droplets we see on top? Was it raining?
Thanks for sharing
Serge

Hello Karin,
The strong backlight adds a fine effect and the result is close to abstract...
Lovely colours and fine details, effective framing!
Greetings,
Pablo -

I love the brightly lit edges of the Chestnuts - they look really good.
Super composition and colours, as well as the lighting
Janice

Hi Karin, very nice with the backlight on the chestnut and the purple bg.
Very well presented.

Great work! Yan :)

ps: and many thx for the kind words in : "Dedicated to TL Friends!". I am very pleased that you like it.

I like chestnuts, roasted. Never had the soup. Interesting picture
Cheers
Otto

Hi karin,
I saw your theme in your intro, so I had to visit it. I have a similar one on TN and this is one of the things I really love about nature photography.
I really like the way you used the light to highlight the edges of the chestnuts. The contrast between the purpleish BG and the tree is most wonderful. The panorama like crop enhances the mood of the photo even more.
TFS,
Niek
