Hello! Great note about a fantastic dwelling! WOW, that is OLD...really interesting lighting and colour...very worn!I notice the pigeons also find this a home. BRILLIANT PHOTO!
....and yes, I can imagine the stories from behind those walls!

Great scene !
I always feel sorry when confronted with these views, and think exactly like you about them. Most probably these houses will be left like this for a few years, to be destroyed and replaced by more contemporary housing (which wont show the same spirit and marks of culture as these houses did).
But it's always good for a picture.
The colours look a bit "drab", but that can emphasize the desperate feeling. The green house seems to make angry faces :-)

The decay of these old houses is captured well in your shot - but thanks to the note, they have soul and meaning also.
The details here are great.
Have the doors and windows actually been blocked up with bricks?? That certainly increases the mystery of what might be sealed inside!

Hello Teresat, You have a lot of nice archtechture but I think this one is by far the most powerful image. The colors seem to flow and there is definately the feeling of age. The composition is well suited to the image and so is the point of view. Very nicely done. cheers

I see you're enjoying your Panasonic FZ18 with its fabulous lense range (18x). I myself use its predecessor, the FZ8, and am very lucky with it.
Your photo shows us that decay can provoque textures that really look artistic. You call this a watercolour town and I agree with this interpretation: this photo looks like a painting and turns what many would refer to as ugly in to something beautiful to look at.
