Hi Simon,
Widely beautiful scene. I like the color saturation in this shot. Blue clear sky looked very interesting and I think your composition of the lone tree in this widely open space had created a very nice balance to 'fill' the emptiness. Apart from that, it is lovely to see the yellow flowers for another point of interest here. IMHO

I am not doing good in landscape photography. So it is not easy for me to comment much here, Simon.

At last, some flowers and hope of a spring to come. I love the two versions of your photo but I prefer this one for the colors and the flowers in the foreground.
