Natural darkness converted to B&W. There are plenty of nice pov of this place out there... Today I like this one... Taken in a heavy rainy day where the crosses against the sky reminds me a cemetery... Sorry, bad mood today :)
This constructions are called Espigueiros and they are little warehouses used generaly to store cereals and some other kinds of food (before refrigerators). The "legs" of these espigueiros are in a mushroom shape to prevent the rats.

You have presented an intriguing shot in this frame. Monochrome composition is providing a nostalgic mood which is interesting. Beautifully compoased image, well done my friend.

OLá Aida,
Apesar do confessado «bad mood today» a verdade é que a foto é imponente e de belo efeito. O p/b é intenso cheio da carisma,os cinzas deixam-no respirar e as nuvens dão-lhe a atmosfera correcta. Excelente composição com as cruzes em crescendo de baixo para cima como se tratasse da progressão de um exército em marcha. Excelente.

ainda hoje vi estes espigueiros na televisão e comentei: como é q é possível ainda n os ter ido conhecer ao vivo?? costuma-se dizer q santos da casa n fazem milagres e por mt q custe a admitir é verdade!! tenho q pôr na minha agenda de "afazeres" visitar o Soajo!!

Ola Aida, at first I thought this is a cemetery and wondered how bad mood could this girl have to go to a cemetery? Then I read your note and now I'm curious about this place... can you provide us a colored version to see clearly these strange constructions? Moody picture though!
