Hello Teresat,

You have educated me in the use of buildings as photographic images. You certainly present them as a painter would do. They do not have to be romantic; they stand proudly displaying shapes, strong lines, patterns, shadows and whatever you linger long enough to absorb.

I am becoming a convert!

Nice Portugese style of buildings shown in this capture, with mostly housing? I believe Portugese traders came to Malacca for trade and caused some influence in Malaysia till today.

an almost but not quite black and white palette, with just enough colour to it to make it alive!
life in that area must be also full fo colours, traditions, smells from all over... i can almost feel it through your picture..

This must be quite an old neighbourhood judging from the faded paints. The splash of colors from the roofs gave a nice contrast to the generally gloomy colors. Well captured and composed. Well done! tfs
