Took this shot during my vacation in Portugal at the end of last year. Many birds stay there for the winter time and that gives a nice opportunity to take pictures.

Hoi Pedro,
Excellent POV daarom een bijzondere kijk op deze steltloper. Perfecte scherpte echt en mooie opname Pedro!

Perdo - really liked this photo and the pink legs certainly caught my attention.
Like your composition for this and colors really show even in the reflection.
was curious to see the bird closer, so did a WS just for that purpose as I had not seen anything like this before.
Hope you don't mind.
Wayne

hi Pedro

Quite a unique bird which I have never seen before. Good capture in this natural surrounding habitat. Sharp and in bright light.

tfs, bill

Hi Pedro,
Nice shot showing this bird in it's natural habitat looking for food, I don't know what type of bird it is but you have captured ot well, I like the reflection and the pink legs, well composed,
Well done
Regards ANdy

A good close up here.
Quite clean background for shooting.

When I looked at the title and the photo I thought of:
"Shes got legs, she knows how to use them.
She never begs, she knows how to choose them."

...by ZZ TOP :):)

Hi Pedro, very similar to a bird we have here, the black-winged stilt (himantopus himantopus). Good focus and colour with the catch light in the eye captured well even at that distance. TFS,
David

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Whorls’

Hey Pedro,
Great P.O.V. you have for this shot. The detail is great and the composition is excellent. Great focus, right on the birds head. Good reflection of the legs as well. Great shot.
Regards,
Kevin

Beautiful capture at right time.

Oh, yes, long pinky legs, in an interesting rocky place. I have never seen one like that. Maybe there are only in Portugal. Great sharpness and colors. TFS

Een jonge scholekester, lijkt me.

Pleasant shot, I like the colours, composition, rich textures and the reflection.

Wat me ook opvalt is je licht :
Portugal - 14u dan verwacht ik intens licht dat
alles wegvreed. Niet dus.

Mooi Pedro
Groetjes
Jan
