[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken and post processed when I used to crop A LOT. Because of that I had a quite a bit of noise to remove from the BG, which I also blurred a bit, using PHOTOFILTRE.

This wasp (or is it a bee? or a fly?), which was photographed in my garden, seems to be looking for something which, I believe, may be the tip of it's antenna!

Good close-up Lurdes. Noise is a problem when we crop in close, but you have got rid of the noise and the results are very good.

I think it is a hoverfly. These brightly-coloured insects look like bees or wasps, they are in fact true flies and do not sting. They mimic bees and wasps – insects that sting and also taste unpleasant, so are avoided by predators.

This is one of the first things I learnt when I started posting photos (of what I wrongly thought was a bee) on TrekNature.
