[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a multi country photo, the beach scene was taken in the Azores and the Abel's was taken April 2004 in San Jose.
Abel is my little brother and he hates to have photo taken so he closed his eyes. I kept the photo because he looks so content. I don't know the little boy on the beach. The photo itslef is of rather poor quality but I think it worked well for this.
This is the first time I've done anything like this. Each photo individually was cropped, levels, contrast and colors adjusted, layers and lots of experimentation went into this.

Please any advise, critiques ideas suggestions are most welcomed...

Critiques [Translate]

The water is in an incredible tones! Weird presentation! I mean, for me i imagine your brother closing his eyes, remain a scene from the past. A good souvenir when he was at the beach. It could be something else... Anyway i like it! It's rich in color and intrigate i little bit :o)

Welcome back Cristina, it's nice to see you here posting again.I like the way Abel's eyes are closed...as if he is dreaming of being a little boy again like the one playing on the beach. Very nice montage of photos. You have worked quite good with the layers. I love the golden tones, and each scene is rather nice.

Such power in this photo. Very enchanting, yet a little eerie and mysterious , your brother looks like he is G-D of the ocean you could see his shadow, or what looks like a shadow of him.

The composition makes a high quality picture to the what you call poor quality photo.
The composition would have been better without your brother (nothing personal against your brother). The illumination of the water and the silhouette of the kid are great. The tide makes this picture very powerfull.
