[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sometimes we try to hide ourselves from emotions. A photograph try to show them.

After looking Lisbon from "the top side", now is time to look people inside ( i mean how i feel some emotions).

"For shame, deny that thou bear'st love to any
Who for thy self art so unprovident.
Grant, if thou wilt, thou art beloved of many,
But that thou none lov'st is most evident;
For thou art so possessed with murd'rous hate,
That 'gainst thy self thou stick'st not to conspire,
Seeking that beauteous roof to ruinate
Which to repair should be thy chief desire.
O, change thy thought, that I may change my mind!
Shall hate be fairer lodged than gentle love?
Be as thy presence is gracious and kind,
Or to thy self at least kind-hearted prove,
Make thee another self, for love of me,
That beauty still may live in thine or thee."

William Shakespeare

Emotions are never shame my friend.
I think shame is to hide our emotions.....
To look peoples inside is not easy and some time there are very few to see.
very important shot and W.Shakespeare's words as well.
Emotions and feelings are our life......
stay well

Hello Teresat

Que bela fotografia de Studio
Vergonha, sim uma bonita expressão de quem a assume!
Mas é uma bonita apresentação deste gesto tão nobre.
Um bonito Black & White, e voce fez bom uso dele.
E ainda citando W.Shakespeare's.
Parabens my friend...

dear T. this pcture is a poem in itself

somehow rather than shame this picture communicates to me the central role of hands in our lives

hands feel, console, heal, mould, touch, punish, shape, arrange, turn pages in music and a book, accompany our singing and give it full body, fill the empty spaces in a conversation (at least in the latin world) and create bonds and make them real, create shadows that look like figures...and rest crossed on our hearts when we say goodbye

hi Teresat

I am really glad you start portrait work by this post, perhaps you can try portrait at 'top side' too. A good B&W portrait which fits your title well and keep us guessing who is this girl. I can the light is a little strong on the right side.

tfs, bill

Very different Teresat. A little faded on one side but that may have been your intention. A good conersion and the black and white suits the title.

Boa tarde Teresat,

Sergio

Hi Teresat,
This presentation is something that shows another level of photography, based on what I do understand (a bit) about it.

I believe, philosophical subjects is a hard thing to deal with, especially to express the idea through photography - how to present our idea on the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence.

I can almost 'feel' your idea through your shot, which is telling that your photo is strong, as a presentation of emotions through light, tone and composition. Very interesting - something I really wish I can learn.

Regards,
Ramdan

So nice to see a real change in your style here ... this is a great shot. Real power and energy in the pose, likewise in the light and the strong background light creeping around the edges of your subject. Good work!
Rew
