[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Strength has also been seen as super-strength, a quality that can be found in many ancient mythologies, religions, literature and philosophy, has a metaphor for the efforts of the humanity in surpassing itself in its limitations. Examples: «Hercules» in Homero’s Odyssey; «Superman» in «Thus Zaratustra Spoken» from Friedrich Nietzsche; the novel of “King Arthur and the Knifes of the Round Table; and even the Bible.

In our days these magic and philosophical concept of strength is loosing all the meaning to a common and empty feature of a wide range media productions, such as bad novels, bad films, bad gymnasia, and simply bad and violent video games.

And however, the strength/force concept has in the history of the humanity one very noble tradition on, to justice, to protection of the weakest, and to freedom

With my strength representation I express my wishes like in George Lucas Saga “Star Wars”:
«…May the Force be with you all…».

dear t , thank you for the dedication. fantastic shot and even better note . so sad "force" now mostly means overpowering and abuse... in all its awful meanings and realizations (children, women, ethnic differences...) forgetting that real strength is in alliances and synergies and that differences may be sometmes puzzling, but if you just take a step back and remove the veil of diffidence, mostly they are a source and a resource,

Hi Teresat,
Strength is related to neural control. When it is referred to human, physically, neural control is much determined by their muscle build - could possibly what this photo is all about. Interesting presentation Teresat.

You created a mood - artwork - I think I personally would have love a bit more light, because I think his facial features are well deserving to be shown. Strength also manifests itself in the facial muscles.
