Dear Teresat,
Although i don't speak Portugese, I liked the note!
The picture is so nice and so charming. Well composed with great details
Travel is always a experiment. I always hate the minutes that come after the farewell, when you find yourself alone in a place that seemed five minutes ago a friendly place. After the farewell, you start fearing the place and people!

Something about this shot works - I think it's the fact that your subject's eye is visible despite the flying scarf and hair; the viewer is drawn directly to that.

Teresa: Una bella imagen bien captada y llena de melancolía. La mascada es ele elemnto a mi jicio, más valioso en esta foto porque en parte enconde la cara de la mujer, con tan buena fortuna que nos permite atisbar su mirada. L mascada es lo que da la sensación de despedida de separación..

dear T , i really like the new themes.
you fully captured trhe dismay of a departure , but there is a glimpse in those eyes which is quite amusing, there is a shadow of a smile , a glitter of hope, as if she were in fact plannig a renewed encounter with the loved one or perhaps see a new beginnig lurking on the horizon ....
but then maybe she is standing on the prow of a boat taking her to her new life, a new love, a new future full of dreams and novelties and hope... after all who are we to say that an end must necessarily be a disaster??? most of them are in fact heralds to new beginnigs,like every sunset heralds the next sunrise.
it all depends on how you look at it

This shot has a great deal of emotional charge to it, the portrait, partly covered by the light scarf blown by the wind like soft petals of regret, like a sad breeze, like a waved goodbye but never spoken...There's always a void left when parting from people...Nothing else, really, does fill it...

I can think of only one nit-pick here, Teresa, and that's the somewhat centered appearance of the subject - I'd like to see her more on the left, giving her more space to look into.
Apart from that, it's a very strong picture. The motion blur of the scarf (nice idea, the long shutter speed), the b&w, the grain in the image, all works wonders here.
Deserves all the smileys it got so far, many more will follow, I'm sure.

This to me is a very dynamic portraiture shot. Very good impact on the photo especially the partial expression with the full on motion blur of the scarf. The noise in the picture some adds to the aesthetic qualityof the photo in my opinion.
