Hi jose - I would like to have seen the real scene here - not some ghastly 70's style inverted image. Did you really need to do this to this photo. It seems as if the composition and view are very good, but you've totally ruined the picture....

this would be a good pic were it not for the pp.

i am at a loss to understand why you have recieved so many points.

there is quite a few problems with this pic.....
the horizon line is very poor.
the edges of the boat, the mooring pole and the angler are so harsh.
i'm sorry if you are not happy with this critique but someone had to tell you where you went wrong.
if you cannot see your mistakes then i must be looking at a different pic from everyone else.

i do not like this at all.

I've been a bit busy and haven't been visiting my favorites lately. I made a mental note to come back to this photo as soon as possible. I'm actually glad I didn't respond immediately. I read some of the criticism you've received and I do see their arguments are perhaps valid from a technical point of view (not something I'm good at), however, I would like to say that I really like the almost surreal effect. The strangeness of the almost two-dimensional man, the mysterious, ominous sky with wind turbines on the horizon and the sand dunes that look like snow-capped mountains. I wonder what the original looked like.
