i have loved your words.. beautiful thoughts with a touch of poetry.. maybe there, in Portugal.. there are farms like this.. with a touch of ancient time.. unfortunately modernity.. has taken also these aspects all over the europe.. and without fertilizations.. and machines.. and big distribution.. there is not agricoltural business.. no more! and this is not the worst.. how you could seen well.. about world crisis.. today what it's more important.. is to sell.. to sell anything.. the air, also!.. financial aspects.. has taken all! ;)) we have complitely forgotten the way to produce.. to built.. and to raise.. ! what it's more important is to increase and multiply money!.. but money is nothing.. Money is only what measure the value of things.. and there is not richness without a true value created!
in any case .. i agree with you... land is our mother.. and we are nothing without her!..

The land is slowly disappearing with all the floods and the erosions it causes, but you are right there will always be land.
What will always stick in my mind is my trip on Madeira Island to Funchal and seeing houses like this one with the
side of the mountain looking like stair ways for the culture of vegetables.
A really good photo taking me back a few years.

Ok a landscape is a landcape...,but there 10000000000 way of capturing and showing it,with the help of the elements like the sun and clouds in the sky.
Also timing is important,what time of the day you are there at the right spot....and a little bit of luck.

Nice postcard view. The presentation is timeless. Timeless makes me think of B&W -- I do not know if that would lose the details though. I like the curve that leads to the building. The brick details are wonderful.
Maybe the dodging along the horizon could be blended a bit better. I do not know how to do this myself unfortunately and therefore I can not help fix it. A really nice cultural landscape capture. TFS. Karin

I really like this view Jose! A gorgeous shot, really love the stonework in the walls. The only thing I see on my end is too much purple in the shot, probably just a hue problem, easily fixed! I will try a WS! Beautiful work!
