Another experiment, this time using reflection and upside down image! I took this at downtown on a sunny but also rainy day. I was walking around when i saw the reflection of this statue on D. João I square! The statue is not very clear but i was looking for something else then sharpeness! I Took the shot, the square was very dry and then i rotate it 180 degrees so it looked like taken exactly in front of it with some problem on the atmosphere! I like the blury effect and i hope you enjoy it two!

Short story on D. João I:
It is born D. João, son of D. Pedro I in 1357. In 1383 D. João kills the Conde de Andeiro, validates of D. Leonor Teles, widower of King D. Fernando (half-brother of D. João) and who is preparing to deliver the Portuguese throne to the King of Spain. D.João, Master of Avis, is nominated regent and defender of the Kingdom. In 1385 D.João is acclaimed King in the Cuts of Coimbra, having given beginning to the second Portuguese dynasty, said of Avis. In 1387 marries with D. Filipa de Lencastre; In 1415 he participates in the taking of Ceuta, thus initiating the Portuguese overseas expansion. It will write later the Book of Montaria.
In 1433 Master of Avis died!

Nice work Bruno! I like upside down composition. The angle of the lines and the reflection work nicely.

A nice experiment Bruno. I think the reflection is just fine. Sharp enough so that we can see the statue clear, blurry enough for removing unwanted details in teh suroundings. The marbel (is it marbel??) makes a great background, and, i thnk this is the first time that durt has actually added some value...

A very nice image and well spotted.I'll be looking in puddles more often now!
A great experiment and result.Well done.

Very interesting photo. Shoting reflections is always very interesting, but I liked the clever use of the upside down floor as composition element ... this lets the viewer to take more time analising the image.

Made by you, be proud of it, Bruno !

effet de reflections bien vue, bonne idée!

Yes, upside down reflections can provide some rewarding results, Bruno. I like how yours creates those "marble patterns in the sky". A fine new way to show off the beautiful architecture of Porto. Very nicely done.

Nice reflection, Bruno! I like very much the way you framed the lines of the ground and the reflection. Bravo!

Tornei a ver a foto e acho a nota excelente. Merece bem os 2 pontos.

Muito bom efeito. Bem conseguido.
É uma perspectiva bastante diferente sobre essa praça que nos é tão conhecida.
Uma perfeita adaptação às intenções do TL.

A very good idea, well realized! The overall color is beautiful, similar to a sepia tone. It matches the historical aspect of the subject. Lines crossings in the pavement and the statue going up supported by a line is nice too. There are a tyre dirt traces. Adds some antique fashion on the image, as if it was an old engraving. A very artistic shot.

essa foto está muito criativa e bonita, parabéns pelo trabalho :)

Great shot. Well seen...
Tomasz
