Portugal, Page 10
Obidos is a hill town with pretty whitewashed houses enclosed within 14th century castellated walls. Obidos used to be an important port but by the 16th century the river had silted up. Nowadays, the town is very popular among tourists who can walk along narrow streets or on the castellated walls.

Le village est encore plus beau qu’il ne l’était lors de notre séjour il y à 20 ans dans une très belle maison qui donnait sur le mur d’enceinte …
