[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Lisboa is a beautiful city, but as in many others, the walls are often covered in grafitti (especially noted in the Bairro Alto)
Some are rubish, some are quite artful. Humor could be found in several adapted streetsigns. (middle panel)
The slogan uttered on the wall of the best known coffeehouse of Lisboa (a Brasileira) I found good for a smile "La policia tem mierda en la cabeza" ("the police have 'excrement' in their heads" or roughly translated "the police are ....heads" :-) (I got a warning "reserved word in Title or Note :-D))
The sign probably warning pedestrians that they could be ran over is very straightforward (found in the Chiado-area)
The crossing pedestrian was slightly modified to a person carrying a lute or something similar (found near the church of Santa Catarina, I believe it's nearby the academy of music which explains all)
The danger sign, warning for risk of slipping was found in the Castelo de Soa Jorge, next to the steps leading to the ramparts. Quite appropriately angel-wings have been added.
The other "art" was found on several walls and doors in the bairro Alto.

Selected from different pictures and combined here in one (from both my Sony and Pentax cameras)

My man Walterito, this is a real gem! I have posted it to my Stencils theme. Hope you don't mind, some good company is already forming there. :) You've created a great collage, if it weren't for the street numbers, I'd think it's a single shot. Very good, fun job!

Great montage, Walter, as at first I thought it was one picture so very effective. We were in Italy recently and that is one thing that I noticed in all of the cities was the amount of grafitti. As you some are almost art and other just rubbish. The ones you have captured are a mix of both which give a good testimony of it. Well done!!!

Sorry, I have run out of green smiles!

Your note reminds me of a story I once heard of the ethymology of the French word "flic", Walter ;o). Nice compilation, but this is the second time today that I'm thinking: it would have been better to have framed each picture individually, putting them next to one another without a separater is a bit confusing for a simple mind like mine ;o). Just my opinion, of course...
And yes, I really had to look for your "signature". TFS.

Great compilation shot Walter there are some very interesting shots to be had of the signs that seem to be everywhere these days.
TFS
Regards
Chris
