[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Brasov is one of the largest and most cherished cities of the country. Surrounded on three sides by mountains, it was a perfect place for a medieval settlement. The old city, founded by the Teutonic Knights in 1211, is one of the best preserved cities in all of Europe. It was thoroughly restored to the delight of an increasing number of tourists. It is the capital city of Brasov County, in central Romania, in Transylvania, at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains.

Piata Sfatului (“Council Square”) represents a milestone that made Brasov widely known. It is here where local inhabitants organized commercial fairs during the medieval and modern eras. Even today, it remains the main meeting point for local residents and the place where all the important local events take place.

Another wonderful postcard, this time, from Brasov, Romania.
This is really a wonderful town in Transylvania.
A wonderful composition with this marvelous architecture of the Council building.
Very good lighting and sharp presentation neatly framed in this white margin.
