It's Been a Long Time

It's been a long time since I've been content with myself
Since the mirror was kind to me
Since I was satisfied
It's been a long time since I didn't analyze myself
A long time since I didn't worry about each word
That came out of my mouth
A long time since life was easy
When grades did not send me into an endless pit of gloom
And school was enjoyed, not dreaded
Too long since I was pleased with who I was
I want to feel that again
To state my opinion and not worry
That others will find me strange, stupid, weird
It's been a long time since love wasn't a worry
Looks didn't matter
I was free
I want to be little again
I want to lose these worries and fears
And focus on hopes and aspirations
It's been a long time.

I was searching on the net to see if the title that I gave to this pic is grammatically correct, and I found by hazard this poem write by a teenager
and because my picture is also about the nostalgy of the childhood, I writed it here

in the pic you can see my husband in my childhood room with a little shoe of our daughter in the left... he did't like this picture, saying it's too sad, but I liked, so it's more representative to me, not for him:)

Superbe Anca...

Anca this is fantastic and a wonderfully emotional piece of art! Everything here is very well done. The greens and reds are really moody. I really was moved by this one. Beautiful!!!

Peace and Love to you Anca

Hello Anca...
A very moody capture full of emotions... It is so well done, and we can read a lot of stories into this... Composition is close to perfect, and the colours enhances the the feelings you want to convey... Very good use of lighting, TFS!

Pablo -

an emotional image, well done, thanx, M (*_*)

sorry, out of points...

The image and the sentiments expressed in your note combine to form something very powerful indeed - TFS...

What a great picture ! I am happy you didn't listen to your husband this time and decided to keep it.

What a mood, very moving.

Hi Anca,

this shot really is too sad, but Ilike it. great composition, and colours and light are great too,

TFS,

ferran

Tu as réussi à te surpasser, Anca.

Sabinelu tau.

I like this because it's dark and full of emotion. The poem fits so well.

Beautiful note and a great moody picture...it is a real piece of artwork you let show here...my compliments.

Magnificent composition Anca. Very good lighting, somber colours reflect the words so well. How many teenagers I wonder actually wish the could relive their childhood. TFS
