I had an idea to capture a place in different periods of the year... and I succeed this in autumn-spring period between 2007-2008... I think is better to have a more natural theme, although this could be considered my contribution to the popularization of my little town, Rupea (Ramidava - dacian name, Rupes - roman name, Kohalom - hungarian name, Cohalm, Holuma - old names, Rappes, Reps, Kuhalme - saxon, german names), somewhere in the middle of Romania... These names are connected to the basalt rock, where the old fortress lay - even the Hungarian name Kohalom (and thus the other variants translated from this name, of course only a mot a mot translation) means a pile of rocks...
so in the background the old fortress of Rupea, with a history even from the dacian/roman times..., of course not in this form. as I remember this architecture is the result of Middle Age periods... |
