"Silence disguised
I watch you
Show me the hurt
that haunts you
would you despise the thrill
If all you hide were mine?

I can't hold on any longer
These feelings keep growing stronger
Echoes that deafen the mind
will bury my voice in their wake

Caught in a Web
Removed from the world
Hanging on by a thread
Spinning the lies
devised in my head

I've seen the path
the one you take
shows the truth
for you to make
This turn of phrase
we might not see
is the thirst of desire
found so easily

Try to push me 'round
the world some more
And make me live in fear
I bare all that I am
made of now
Attractive I don't care
'Cause even when I danced with life
no one was there to share

Does this voice the wounds of your soul?
Does this voice the wounds of your soul?

Caught in a Web
Removed from the world
Hanging on by a thread
Spinning the lies
devised in my head

Tried to live the life
you live and saw
It doesn't work for me
I bare all that I am
made of now
Attractive, I can't be
Inside the Dance of Life is one
I'll never hold to me

You can't heal the wounds of my soul.
You can't heal the wounds of my soul.

Caught in a Web
Removed from the world
Hanging on by a thread
Spinning the lies
devised in my head

Caught in a Web
Refused by the world
Hanging on by a thread
Spinning a cage
Denied and misread"

Dream Theater - Caught in a web (Awake, 1994)

update:
Sorry for having not posted a pp-work related note, so far. I guess I was too tired to do it, that night, but there it goes, now, with my humble apologies! :)

I worked with Photoshop CS2, using layers:
-black background
-original, desaturated image (the one with the overlapped portraits)
-distress layer
I duplicated the original layer and flipped it horizontally by using the Free Transform command (Ctrl+T) so that I would get the "mirror" effect.
I flattened the image so I could work on it as a single layer, made color adjustments so that it would get the sepia tonality (Image - Adjustments - Color balance), and then I applied on top of the image a layer of distress.
That's all folks!

I'm VERY impressed by your creativity!! A suitable title and an excellent job! TFS and have a happy day!

Interesante concepto, manejo de la imagen. Congratulations. :)

Good pp work and good imagination, this is a nice posting, so full marks! I just wish the note explained what you did here.

ciao Diana..
really intriguing.. i could say, an introspective job! interesting the composition.. even if i would like to know.. why the repetition as it was a mirror? the sight is also strange (and the inner sight too).. maybe lost or with an interrogative expression!.. all comunicates to me this sense of interior confusion.. of lost indetity..
excellent mood!! the lyric is wonderful too!
thanks
ciao Marco

hi diana.
you are in a very dark frame of mind.
excellent pp work. no visible artifice where you have joined the mirrored images.
extremely artistic and thought provoking.

hugs
Bri.

Hello Diana,
Wonderful and original work, very graphic and moody. I love mostly the light, special the shine in the eyes, and the sepia tones you've chosen. Great work.
Congrats, mb

Fascinating shot, Diana. The site is for us to develop our own skills so it would have been nice to have some notes here. The model seems to go from pensive to searching. TFS

Hi Diana,
Your PP work on this photo is so well done. The result is a true artwork!
Excellent range of sepia tones well enhanced by the subtle touch of blue. Creative composition with a good addition of grain.
Really, a superb image! Bravo! Annie

Oh my goodness! This should have MORE attention that it has had! OUTSTANDING pp work on this Diana! I think also that if you just did ONE person, it would have just as much or more impact. Very spooky, moody, disturbing! That's what photography is all about...EMOTION... and you made my heart skip! Great work here!
B-)

Awesome work, sooo much effort and thought. This has a certain ambience that is both dark and nostaligic...if that makes sense? Anyway, great stuff, i love it.
