pp work: I worked with layers of different opacity in Photoshop CS2. It may be hard to believe but it's simple as that. I copied the central image by creating a new layer, I set it behind the original and reduced its filling to 40%. I did the same thing with the text layer. I then positioned the three layers on a black background and...voila! :)

This is quite powerful! the image is well composed with the subject nicely placed on the thirds and the BG of the poem fitting well within the whole
