Beautiful photo! Great colours! I do find that the purple line is a bit distracting. I think this photo could have stood well on it's own. I figure that you thought the purple line would bring out the purple in the flowers, but they do not need it.

From the looks of the thick branches this is quite an old "tree".
It's absolutely gorgeous. We have one too and it's in full bloom also, but ours is quite a young bush.. ;-)

Lovely colors and contrast and I like the POV.

VERY nice Steve! I believe this is the first time for seeing this tree. Very beautiful I must ay. The blooms are really pretty...but the contrast with the twisty limbs and branches puts this into the WOW factor for me. Top quality photo!
