[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo while I was travelling by car. The whole day was a perfect summer-day, but in the evening a storm was comming. I catched exactly the beginning.

Fire in the sky!! Excellent shot, nice sensation of speed when you look at the road and only minimal reflections from the windscreen, well done! TFS, Neil.

Hi Ioana,
Wonderful moment caught at the right time. I love the effect of speed on the road and what to say about this sky, it is breath taking :) Excellent choice of shutter speed. These colors are really amazing. This is a good exposure, POV and DOF. Well done! Thanks,
Claudine

Absolutely beautiful shot! Great eye to spot this, even while driving! :) I hope you don't mind I posted a workshop of this image, just to clean it up a little. The one downside of cathcing fantastic images through a car windsheild is that whatever is ON your windsheild, ends up in the picture. So, I really didn't change the feel of your shot, but rather cleaned it up for a final version. I also read your intro. about how you particularly love capturing clouds, so I tried to give these clouds more depth. They take up a lot of the frame, and since they are experiencing a volatile change (i.e. impending storm), they can afford to make a little more of an impact. :) Again, I am so happy you shared...I too love dramatic landscapes & clouds!...and thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with your image. (*my workshop was created through Adobe Photoshop CS2)

Beautifully composed image with dark sky and gound but well illumined horrizon. A lovely moment has been captured nicely.

Thanks for sharing an interesting snapshot.

Very nice picture! Good composition and colours. I like it very much.

oh.. wow, this's great, color so wonderfull, darkness from the cloud and line of the road make this picture more stronger but still feel warm inside.

a little dark,no ?

Like a post nuclear world :):)

Like a lot the sky and feelings about speed and humidity of air we can feel...
Bye, take care, TFS

Hi Ioanna,

Beautiful shot, truly gorgeous. But before I continue my comment on this shot, I want to make two remarks.
1. I agree with your intro note, I like this site also becuase it gives us a chance to say "this is what I like about Earth!"
2. It's interesting to see how different our interests are, I mean a dominant theme in your images would be plants- where as other photographers like say... just portraits etc.- I just wanted to point that out. :P

I must admit I'm envious that you got to see such a beautiful sky- the calm before the storm. :) It looks like it was a nasty storm, that's a cumulonimbus cloud if I'm correct- they tower high up and they send of lots of rain/hail and thunder. Let's hope I'm right! Great catch, I love the road and the speed blur on the lines, and the clouds look wonderful and angry. :)

Biance.

Hello Ioana!
I love this dark heavy road sky and the almost invisible white lines to the horizon :)
Your photo makes me remember the pleasure of driving at dusk for a new travel.
Great compo and colors!
